One sentence34 words

MonZap is an iPhone and iPad app that identifies Pokémon cards from the camera, shows available TCGplayer and Cardmarket price references, and helps collectors organize and track the value of their collections.

Short descriptionOne paragraph

MonZap is a Pokémon TCG card scanner and collection tracker for iPhone and iPad. A collector can scan a raw, sleeved, or holographic card, review the matched printing, see available TCGplayer USD and Cardmarket EUR price references, and add the card to a collection. The app is free to download with optional weekly, yearly, and lifetime premium purchases.

Full descriptionBackground and approach

Pokémon cards with the same character name can come from different sets, collector numbers, finishes, promos, and reprints. MonZap was created to shorten the process of identifying the exact printing before a collector checks its value or saves it to a collection.

The app uses the iPhone or iPad camera to match a card against its card database. It is designed to recognize raw, sleeved, and holographic cards. After a match, collectors can review the card image, set, collector number, rarity, available marketplace reference prices, and price history.

MonZap also includes card search, scan history, favorites, named collections, total collection values, and CSV export. TCGplayer prices are shown in U.S. dollars, while available Cardmarket histories are shown in euros so the marketplace and currency remain distinct.

MonZap launched on April 23, 2026. It is an independent, unofficial collector app and is not affiliated with or endorsed by The Pokémon Company, Nintendo, Creatures Inc., or GAME FREAK Inc.
