Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern your use of the MonZap website, the iOS app named TCG Card Scanner Value: MonZap, and related services. MonZap is an independent Pokemon TCG scanner, price checker, collection tracker, and set guide platform provided by James Wade.
By using MonZap, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use MonZap.
Who can use MonZap
You may use MonZap only if you can legally agree to these Terms. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you should use MonZap with permission from a parent or guardian.
What MonZap provides
MonZap helps collectors identify Pokemon trading cards, view set details, compare marketplace reference prices, review price history where available, and organize collections. MonZap may change, add, remove, limit, or discontinue features at any time.
Accounts and app access
MonZap may use anonymous app identifiers and backend security tokens to operate the service, enforce limits, restore purchases, and protect against abuse. You are responsible for keeping your device, Apple ID, and app access secure.
Subscriptions and in-app purchases
MonZap may offer free features, paid subscriptions, lifetime purchases, introductory offers, or trials. Purchases are processed through Apple App Store systems and supported by RevenueCat. The price, billing period, trial details, and renewal terms are shown before purchase.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled according to Apple's App Store rules. You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID App Store subscription settings. Refund requests are handled under Apple's refund policies.
Card prices and market information
MonZap shows marketplace reference prices based on TCGPlayer and Cardmarket where available. These values are informational estimates only. Actual sale, trade, grading, insurance, or appraisal values can vary by condition, finish, grading company, language, currency, seller inventory, buyer demand, fees, shipping, taxes, and timing.
MonZap does not provide financial, investment, tax, legal, insurance, or professional appraisal advice. You are responsible for your own buying, selling, trading, grading, and collection decisions.
Collection tools and exports
You are responsible for the accuracy of cards, quantities, conditions, notes, collection records, exports, and other information you enter or save in MonZap. Keep your own backup of important collection information.
Feedback, comments, and user content
If you submit feature requests, comments, support messages, card images, scan feedback, or other content, you represent that you have the right to provide it and that it does not violate the law or anyone else's rights. You grant MonZap permission to use that content to operate, support, debug, improve, and promote MonZap.
Scans and scanner improvement
By using MonZap's scanner or photo-identification features, you agree that MonZap may process and use submitted card images, scan result labels, and related technical metadata to identify cards, operate the service, troubleshoot issues, prevent abuse, and improve recognition accuracy. Some scanner-improvement uploads may occur over Wi-Fi and are limited by daily quotas. Do not submit images that contain faces, addresses, documents, or sensitive personal information. If you do not want scans processed for scanner operation and improvement, do not submit scans or selected photos through MonZap.

Some TCGPlayer links on MonZap are affiliate links. If you buy through those links, MonZap may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.
Third-party services
MonZap relies on third-party services for app distribution, payments, subscriptions, analytics, attribution, infrastructure, security, and marketplace references. These services may include Apple, RevenueCat, Firebase and Google services, AppsFlyer, TCGPlayer, Cardmarket, hosting providers, and other vendors. Their own terms and privacy policies may apply when you use or interact with them.
Intellectual property
MonZap, including its software, website, design, logos, text, features, and related materials, is owned by MonZap or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms, MonZap grants you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app and website for personal collector use.
You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell, scrape, overload, bypass access controls, interfere with security, or use MonZap in a way that harms the service or other users.
Pokemon trademark notice
MonZap is independent and unofficial. MonZap is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with The Pokemon Company, Nintendo, Creatures Inc., or GAME FREAK Inc. Pokemon and Pokemon character names are trademarks of Nintendo. MonZap uses Pokemon TCG terminology so collectors can identify and research cards accurately.
Disclaimers
MonZap is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that MonZap will be uninterrupted, error-free, complete, secure, or accurate, or that card matches, prices, set data, links, or collection values will always be correct or current.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, MonZap and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost collection value, lost purchases, trading losses, grading decisions, marketplace decisions, or other losses related to your use of MonZap.
Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless MonZap and its operators from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from your use of MonZap, your content, or your violation of these Terms.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to MonZap if we believe you violated these Terms, abused the service, created risk for MonZap or others, or used MonZap unlawfully. You may stop using MonZap at any time.
Changes
We may update these Terms as MonZap changes. The date at the top shows when this page was last updated. Continued use of MonZap after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Tennessee and the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where local law requires otherwise.
